Care &
Maintenance

Learn how to care for your natural
stone correctly

For daily cleaning of natural stone countertops, use dish soap and water with a cloth or soft sponge. If using a cleaner, ensure it’s specifically designed for natural stone. Clean and reseal countertops every 6 to 12 months with a proper sealer, not just a cleaner or polish.

Soapstone maintenance differs: apply mineral oil or dry wax to enhance color vibrancy. Scratches can be removed with fine sandpaper, followed by reapplication of oil or wax. Over time, the stone retains its vibrant coloration longer as it absorbs the treatments.

Avoid using products not designed for stone, such as Windex or Clorox. Do not place excessive weight on unsupported overhangs, as they may crack. Use a cutting board instead of the countertop to prevent scratches or damage and preserve its condition.

Clean daily with dish soap and water using a cloth or soft sponge. Only use cleaners designed for natural stone.

Avoid using non-stone-safe cleaners such as Windex or Clorox. Use coasters or pads to protect quartz surfaces from heat damage. Avoid cutting directly on the surface to prevent scratches—use a cutting board instead.
